Research Activity: Minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery, minimally invasive cranial base surgery, quality of life outcomes in the treatment of head and neck cancer, and microvessel density/angiogenesis as predictors of outcome in head and neck cancer
Dr. Bumpous joined the University of Louisville faculty in 1994. In 2001, Dr. Bumpous became the Chief of the Otolaryngology Division and the first J. Samuel Bumgardner Endowed Professor in Otolaryngology at the University of Louisville.
